Dr Umashankar Thapliyal ‘Samdarshi’ is a prominent journalist and editor in Uttarakhand. The author is writing for newspapers and journals for past 50 years. Born on 24 August 1942, he has done MA Hindi, Diploma in Journalism and D.Phil. He was also held the post of Chairman of Badri-Kedar Temple Samiti and retired from the post of Publicity Officer.
