Chandra S. Negi did his M.phil from School of environment sciences Jawaharlal University and PhD on earthworm diversity and population dynamics from the Kumaun University. Along with a teaching experience of more than 15 years he has 25 research papers in international journals to his name. He is currently serving as Associate professor in Department of Zoology, Government college Pithoragarh.
