Dr Bhagwati Prasad Purohit is an eminent scholar and writer in Uttarakhand having vast reasearch knowledge on religious books and places. Born on 17 February 1965, the author presently teaching at PG College Gopeshwar. He has done D.Phil in Journalism, Law and Political Science. The author has deep research on religious places of Uttarakhand, Siddh peethas, Shakti peethas, Prayags, Maths, Temples of Vishnu, Shiva and Nag, Gurukuls and Ashrams.
