About the author: Born on 3rd March 1936 in Uniyal village of Tehri Garhwal, Dharmendra Uniyal has written several books about Uttarakhand and its culture. He started off as a teacher and then later turned his work towards writing books, journalism and also worked as an editor to several magazines. He has been awarded with many titles for the people of Uttarakhand community and the government.
