ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Sher Da ‘Anpad’ or Sher Singh Bisht was a famous Kumaoni poet in Uttarakhand. Sherda was born in Maalgaon village near Almora on 3 October 1933. Despite being an illiterate (Anpad) his poems has expressive gentry of rural Kumaun. His other books are Didi-Behaini, Hasne Bahar, Kamar Mae Baap, Meri Lati Pati, Jadik Ghunghur, Fachek and Sherda Samgra.
