ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Yashwant Singh ‘Katoch’, editor of this book, is a prominent writer and researcher of Uttarakhand’s history and culture. He was born on 27 Dec, 1935 and did his Doctorate from Agra University. His thesis was on history of Garhwal Himalayas. For his important work on history of Uttarakhand, he has been honored many times by Uttarakhand Government. His creation includes ‘Uttarakhand Ka Naveen Itihas‘, ‘Sanskriti ke Pad Chinh’, ‘Madhya Himalaya ki Kala’, Bharatvarsha Ka Aitihasik Sthal Kosh’ and ‘Garhwal Ka Itihas‘.
